Starting Over vs Beginning Again

Starting Over vs Beginning Again

On numerous occasions, I used to feel as though I had to or had been forced to start over. Preceding these re-starts have been feelings of loss, failure, negativity and the like. These starts have faltered more times that I can remember or care to count. The negative, repetitive connotation of "starting over" lends itself to feeling rushed and ill prepared, often stagnating any hope of progress in retrospect. Starting over sometimes feels like starting with nothing, whereas "beginning again" feels like having a clean slate. The difference? It lies in the mental approach/overall mentality. Beginning again has the outlook of a fresh perspective, opportunity, chance, etc. It feels new, fun, and exciting. It feels as though it is ready to, or reading you, to grow. It aspires to be better. That is the difference, YOU... or rather, your readiness/willingness to follow through.
