Why Fear
Share
Fear itself is often just a signal or an indication. Fear sometimes hides in the guise of nerves, or nervousness. What this is trying to tell us is that, behind that fear, behind all of the jitters, amongst the butterflies in our stomach, in plain sight really, is what we want, what we desire, or what we should pursue. If you feel nervous about something, more often than not, you do not really fear the thing in question. What you are feeling is actually a reinforcement of the importance you have placed on whatever it is you want, desire, or are about to do. So do it! Use those nerves. Feel them out. All they are is a reminder that you have set, telling you now is the time; this is it, the thing you have been waiting for... your moment, your opportunity, your calling... Answer the call. Do not misconstrue what you feel as a negative thing. Think of it as a confirmation. Ask yourself, do I want this? I can tell you right now, with a high degree of certainty, the answer is yes. But you know that already, so take note of this so you don't forget it: When wanting to do good, wanting things to go well, or wanting to get it, it is natural to begin to feel some nerves. The good thing is these times of heightened awareness, this keenness of senses is something you can utilize to help you focus on and execute the task at hand, if you really think about it. What better way to keep your eyes on the prize than to keep it in heart and mind?
After all, you would only fear losing something you love.
