Rest, Recover & Reset

In any journey, be it a race, travel expedition or life itself, rest is an often overlooked, and frequently understated aspect of success. Just as integral as any part of the planning process, nutrition, equipment, or training regimen is quality and timeliness of rest. Nothing is more necessary for optimal performance than rest. It goes hand in hand with recovery, so it naturally factors into sustainability and longevity. Yet, it can be easy, perhaps, at times, to neglect this reset and refresh. It can be hard to disconnect, especially with the advent of technology in this digital age. But do not lose sight of the fact that nothing can be whole, comprehensive or complete when done in part. And, if we take this journey of life as an example, it would be unrealistic, even remiss, to expect to live a rich life in which your rest and habits surrounding it are poor.
