Resist

Resistance is not what you think it is, and it almost certainly is not doing for you, what you think it is. Whether it is ‘in your nature’ or whether you have been lead to believe that it is implicit of strength, it is nothing if not worthy of closer examination. The first thing to be aware of is that, most often, what we resist is reality, that is, things and/or situations as they are. In some cases and in some instances we resist our own intuitions and/or perceptions, which generally arise from analyses or realizations regarding the aforesaid situations and/or things. Only virtuous resistance, examples of which might include: resistance to negativity, resisting oppression, etc. are possibly warranted forms of resistance. There has been much said already with pertinence to resistance, i.e. “what you resist persists” or even that “resistance is futile” however, to these we can add that, what you resist you in fact, reenforce, and that resistance is ‘fragile.’ Thinking metaphysically, it is understood that the laws of attraction/manifestation do not differentiate or factor in preference, meaning, in the thought/event that you ‘do or do not want something to happen’ your desire, or lack thereof, is inconsequential to the occurrence of the subject of those feelings, which you, yourself, are calling into existence or being by its presence in your mind, with which we shape our respective realities. To further understand the futility, or rather, the fragility of resistance, one need look no further than some elements of the ‘natural world.’ Here, we can see that, to be steadfast and firm, like a tree, is to break at some point.
