Resilience
Like the Phoenix that arose from the ashes; like the rose that grew from concrete, we too must undergo rebirth, ultimately and perpetually, in order to reach the heights that allow us to see and feel fulfillment from life and our role in its magnum opus. The winds of change will gust, but it is up to us if this will be what causes the turn of a new leaf. The leaves, metaphorically or otherwise, will fall, but it is our choice to see this as loss or renewal. And though those same leaves, fruit and seeds alike will detach from the tree that birthed them. They exist in a space that knows no waste. Whether they are consumed by creature or by ground, they nourish, and often find home in an environment that nurtures them to the point of maturity. The peak of that maturation, it should be noted, is but the base of, or basis for, what is forthcoming. Sprouting… which is in and of itself something new coming from within something that had seemingly run its course. Of course, this course of which we speak is but a spiral of sorts; gaining in depth to take root and spring upwards. It is in this feedback loop that virtuosity may be learned and leveraged. The presence required for the notice of focal, referential or distinction points upon the aforementioned spiral is the same presence from which patience is borrowed. For, if I know that this too shall pass, I shall not be lost therein.
