
Know Your Limits…

We do not learn our limitations consciously, which is to say, we do not decide what our limits are. We learn our limits by pushing ourselves to our limits or being pushed to our limits. Once we have an awareness of what our limits are, we have a choice. We can accept our limits, and be comfortable operating within those limits; or, we can accept our limits, but continue to work to push beyond those limits and keep testing ourselves, in order to see if we are able to surpass those limits. In certain situations and with certain limitations, the latter is the right approach, and in certain situations and with certain limitations, the former is the right approach. Because, even limitations need to be contextualized and perhaps reevaluated, from time to time;
