Be Receptive
Tune in to what you are feeling. Ask yourself, why? If you find that a situation makes you nervous, for example, you may find as well that you have attached to that situation a desired outcome. The truth is, things will not always go as you would like them to. This can be nerve racking or scary at the start and then disappointing or unpleasant, even unfortunate in the end, for the individual in the frame of mind that wants to be in control. However, the understanding that one must relinquish the desire to control what is out of their hands sooner places that energy into ensuring the preparedness of all that is in their power to organize, manage, and/or arrange, simultaneously allowing them to disassociate with any idealized end. This is the birthplace of trust, acceptance, faith, and perhaps transcendence. The more you surrender to the natural order of things, and place your trust in something higher than yourself, be it, a Divine Power, The Universe, or Life in general, the more you are able to accept the reality of your situation. And the more you allow yourself to be guided by the faith that, in that natural order there is a purpose for you and a reason for the way things are, the more likely you will be to stopped wanting, wishing, and waiting in the egoistic sense, clearing a way to transcend your feelings about any given situation and enjoy life’s flow. It could be said that you are the way, and that the way is to be receptive. Welcome it, and be grateful for it all.
